I'm slacking on my work. Can't muster up to do it. It's probably only half a day of serious hard paper work, but it just doesn't seem that pressing. Perhaps this afternoon I'll feel motivated enough to accomplish some of these tasks.
It was cold last night when I ran. I had to bundle up, hood on with my hands pulled into my sweat shirt. I felt sort of like I was driving a tank. Slow and plodding but powerful and ready to be attacked. I think it was the decreased vision from the hood. I don't like to lose any peripheral vision. Two weeks ago I was feeling faster, I was running against time, trying to improve my minutes per mile. This week I don't care, it's enough to just be outside and running.
I like the chill in the air while I run but I'm tired of the streets and the cars and the pavement. I am ready for the clocks to change and for my dirt and the hills and the sun.

Somehow You Can't Get Around It
I've got a blogging block on. Stand at my desk a moment ago I decided to just open a blog window and see what came out. I've done 2000 push ups this week at work. In an effort to make my job less sedentary I started doing a set of 25 push ups each time I get up to do something. I've been doing this 4 weeks and it's actually pretty apparent already in my physique. I feel better at the end of the day too, though perhaps this is just a sense of pride.
I'm getting a bit more productive here and there on the turbo sunshine recordings, and I'm pretty pleased with how they are developing. Devin will be coming over tomorrow to help and get creative. I'm very much looking forward to this. Devin and I have not worked together in the same room like this for a couple years.
It's going to rain this weekend.
In a few weeks my parents will visit and they along with Devin and Dylan, Angie and myself will be renting a house in Three Rivers, on the edge of the sequoia forest. only 2 nights but I'm so looking forward to it.
Perhaps I will get around this block.

Realitizer
I took a 10 minute bath the other night. I was in a hurry and my legs were sore from a run. As I pulled the plug and the fresh water rushed out of my life into the great unknown I had a the familiar feeling of guilt that we Americans feel often. Then I took a second and I appreciated how amazing the 10 minutes in the bath had been. We do things everyday that are most likely sins against the planet, I don't see myself changing these things any time soon, but there are two things I promise to do. I'm going to appreciate how good this modern life can be, and I'm never going to pretend that anyone else on this planet some how doesn't deserve to live in ridiculous luxury, everyone deserves a warm clean bath.

Frozen Music
It is February already and I've made no list of things to keep in mind this year. I'm busy right now, so I will do this quickly and perhaps a bit shallow.
1. Seriously just finish More Possible Than Perfect
2. Seriously play shows with Turbo Sunshine
3. Collaborate with nearly anyone who asks and if no one asks then I should do the asking
4. Give up a little comfort
5. Embarrass yourself hugely at least once
6. Continue the new push up breaks at work
7. Spend at least one continuous hour outside each week
8. Like new people when meeting them before disliking them
9. Use new technology for productivity
10. Practice negative visualization often, to better appreciate all that surrounds me.
