Okay October Already

Hi all! This isn't going to be deep or meaningful but I need to make an effort to try and ease back into blogging on a semi-regular basis, I've been chided now on several fronts and those chides are not without merit, so I begin, slowly to blog yet again.

It's an unusual Monday morning today, for I am fresh and at the ready. These feeling though has been occuring much more often. I'm listening to the exciting sounds of All Classical 89.9 KBPS Portland, Oregon's only all-classical radio station. The same station I spend many fall work days listening to. I enjoy this music so very much. It's music outside my ken, therefore so enjoyable. I can just appreciate the experience of being a listener and not a creator. How delightful, perhaps this is what inspires me this morning to put keyboard to pixel and jot down a bit of the moment.

My work life is still in a state of flux. I have made great progress here, handling a far greater part of this company than I ever truly thought I would. It's rewarding in many ways, the least of which for the time being is financial, but here is to the hope that after I prove myself over a longer period of time this part will take off. I suppose I was always a bit over paid and certainly over benefieted in the past anyway. I do find myself enjoying work more now. I have developed good working relationships with our technicians and customers, it's good to feel like I have a handle on whats going on with the company I work for hour by hour, and to know that I'm able to help in a big way. I'm proud of the work our company does and the honest way we go about doing it.

After seven and a half months of running in runyon and nichols canyon I have finally worn my old shoes out nearly completely. Yesterday using money that I made doing manual labor on saturday I bought myself a nice new pair of running shoes. They are the same brand which I used for running in high school, it's amazing how much like home they feel. I slipped them on in the store and I ws sort of taken back to a different time and place and to the many miles I've ran before. Tonight is their first test on the trails, I'm ever so excited.

This election season has been amazing. It's been what has stopped my blogging more than anything else. I've tried many times to sit down and write a very thoughtful piece on my feelings but It's really been rather duanting, I'm so deeply entrenched in this process. My obsession is really becoming that of a junkie. I will keep this brief, I won't even begin to touch upon the mountian of passion that lies behind it, nor the hours of frustration that I have been put through by their opponents and the uninformed around this great nation. For the record, I endorse Barack Obama and Joe Biden for President and Vice President of the United States of America.

There... I've said it. Let the media feeding frenzy begin. Move over Colin Powell.

More to come this week.
